Art and nature at the Palmeraie museum.
The palmeraie Museum has opened its doors in May 2011.Under the hands of Abderazzak Benchaâb; you will find the perfect mixture between modernity, culture, and nature.
bderrazzak Benchaâb has fused his two interests to give birth to his museum. He renovates a 2 hectares farm and he made a showcase for his collection that he gathered since he was 20 years old.
This place consists of several thematic rooms. The collection of Moroccan artists such as Farid Belkahia, Mahi Binebine, OmarBouragba, Hassan El Glaoui…, are exposed in the dome room.
On the other hand, temporary exhibitions of photography, calligraphy, sculptures, are taken place in the other rooms. Philippe De Ligne, Claire, and Michel Thiam exposed their works there. The palmeraie Museum plays a role for artists to exchange their different arts and cultures. It also dedicated to children from different Douars.
They offer them plastic art’s workshops and they support them with some few school subjects such as French, Mathematics and Data processing. Those workshops are financed by the art books and postal cards that are sold in the shop. This museum consists of an Andalusian garden, a dry garden, a water garden and its rest kiosks that allow visitors to enjoy the calm and serenity of the place, a vegetable garden, an orchard, and rose gardens and a cactus garden that presents more than forty varieties of plants from all over the world. “Make from the plameraie a cultural crossroad!”; This was the objective of Abderrazzak Benchaâb that he achieved by making the museum a contemporary creation.
